We verify government employment through .gov and .edu email domains. For state and local employees who use other email systems, we manually verify employment through organizational directories or direct outreach. Many Utah counties, cities, and special districts use commercial email domains—apply with your government email and note your employer, and we'll verify within 1-2 business days.

If you're employed by a private company—even if you support government clients—you qualify for industry membership at $50/year. Public sector membership is for direct government and education employees only.

No. All UCA members receive identical benefits regardless of membership type. Everyone has equal access to resources, events, networking, and threat intelligence.

UCA complements rather than competes with the Utah Cyber Center. While the Cyber Center focuses on statewide coordination and incident response, UCA is a 501(c)(6) trade association that provides community building, peer networking, vendor curation, and implementation support for organizations across Utah. Our independent board and diverse sponsorship model ensure vendor-neutral guidance.

We accept payment via credit card, ACH transfer, or check. After your application is reviewed, we'll send you a secure payment link via email. Annual membership runs on a calendar year basis.
